Alfama District – The oldest part of the city, with winding streets, fado music, and breathtaking viewpoints. LX Factory – A trendy hotspot for food, drinks, shopping, and street art. Bairro Alto – For nightlife, live music, and late-night pastel de nata. If you decide to stay in Lisbon for a few days, don't miss a day trip to Sintra! Just a quick ride from Lisbon, Sintra is a magical little town filled with colorful palaces, dreamy gardens, and incredible views. It’s like stepping into a fairytale—and 100% worth the visit while you're in Portugal! Food and Drinks: Travesseiros – Flaky puff pastries filled with almond cream (try them at Casa Piriquita). Queijadas de Sintra – Mini cheese tarts made from fresh cheese, sugar, and cinnamon. Cozido à Portuguesa – A traditional Portuguese meat and veggie stew (hearty and local!). Grilled sardines or fresh seafood – Especially if you're dining at a local tasca. Vinho Verde or Portuguese red wine – Always a good idea.

Praia da Nazaré – It’s peaceful in the summer and wild in the winter! Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré – A beautiful hilltop church with rich local history and traditional Portuguese tiles. If you can’t make it to Sintra, Óbidos is an incredible alternative—packed with charm, history, and unforgettable views (plus fewer crowds!). Just 25 minutes from Alcobaça, this enchanting walled town feels like stepping straight into a fairytale. Sightseeing & Landmarks: Óbidos Castle – Wander the grounds of this medieval castle and soak up the incredible hilltop views. You can even stay overnight if you’re feeling royal. Town Walls – Walk along the ancient stone walls that encircle the village—it's the best way to get those postcard-perfect views. Igreja de Santa Maria – A charming church with a rich history and gorgeous interior details.
