Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) in Porto, Portugal is the closest and most convenient airport to fly into. It’s about a 45-minute drive to the hotel, so you’ll be just a short ride away from all the wedding festivities! A few travel tips to make things easier: Documents: No visa needed for U.S. travelers—just make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Currency: Portugal uses the Euro (€). Credit cards work almost everywhere, but having a little cash on hand is always a good idea. Language: English is widely spoken, but a few Portuguese phrases can be fun and appreciated!

Maison Albar - Amoure

Alternatively, we’ve partnered with Maison Albar for guest accommodations—this is also where the Mehndi and Haldi ceremonies will take place. While it is on the pricier side, we encourage you to choose the option that best suits your preferences. There are only a handful of Deluxe and Grand Deluxe rooms available, so if this feels like the right fit for you, we recommend reaching out soon. Rooms will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Getting Around

We want your trip to be as smooth as a glass of vinho verde, so here’s the scoop on transportation: • Option 1: Rent a car – Super easy to pick up right at the airport and perfect if you’d like the freedom to explore Braga, Porto, and beyond at your own pace. • Option 2: Bolt or Uber – Both are plentiful here and cost about the same as taking one at home. 💡 Our tip: Pick an option that makes you the least stressed. Wedding and Reception Day Shuttle On the big day, we’ve got you covered! Shuttles will run to and from Melia Braga and Maison Amour – Albar to the venue, so you can sip champagne, dance all night, and never worry about how you’re getting home.
