Sarah and Kerry first met on Halloween in 2019. Kerry was dressed as "your dad on vacation," complete with a visor, sunblock on the nose, knee high socks and an itinerary that included every single bar in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Sarah immediately stood out to Kerry, because in a sea of nurses, cats, pirates, and vampires, Sarah was dressed as a bug. She dressed as Mothman, the infamous West Virginia Cryptid, and Kerry became increasingly interested in entomology as the night went on. They didn't talk much that evening, Kerry was the self-imposed leader of their jamboree, making sure everyone had a drink in their hand and that the group was kept "on schedule." He stole glances at Sarah across the dimly lit and smoke-filled dives dotted around that small college town that night, and hoped beyond hope she was doing the same. Fortunately for him, she was. She had the character to see through Kerry's boisterous demeanor, seeing instead a congenial goofball with a laugh that rang out amidst all the others, and a big head unmistakable in a crowd. Though they did not speak much that night, they each went to bed thinking of the other. When next they spoke, they were overjoyed to discover a mutual attraction. They fell into their cups and each other, ignoring their friend's calls to move on to other bars or afterparties. This was 6 years ago, and since then their relationship has survived a pandemic, a long distance relationship, a master's degree, and one lamebrain cat. From Thai food in Indiana, to Moussaka in Crete, Sarah and Kerry have never been able to take their eyes off each other. They hope you will join them on October 24th, 2026, as they say "I do." Please don't expect them to pay too much attention to what's going on around them, however. They will be far too busy gazing at each other.
