Mehndi is a prewedding event, during which the bride and guests will receive henna. Tradition says the deeper the color of the bride's mehndi, the happier the couple's marriage will be (copied and pasted from Martha Stewart's website. Samarth told me to.) The dress code is informal, but Indian-inspired. Wear something colorful—avoid wearing all-white or all-black.

South Indian formal - colorful tunics for men, khakis, or suit (not black) ; saris or lehengas for women or flowy dresses

Join us at Samarth's parent's home for this religious ritual. Men can wear shirts and khakis or suit (avoid black).
