It all started with a bit of SALT! Despite living a half mile from each other for four years - and having a friend in common - it took online dating for us to meet! Marcin came across Kerry’s profile [on SALT] and was immediately drawn to her beautiful photos - positivity and happiness radiated from her responses and smile. When his first message arrived in Kerry’s inbox, she was struck by his thoughtfulness - it was clear he had taken time to read her profile and ask her some nice questions. The conversation unfolded over the course of a month of travel during which time Kerry was on a cruise around Norway, popping off the ship at each port to receive Marcin's messages! ...and Marcin was at a wedding in Paris! …until finally the two could meet in London. By this time Kerry had discovered that her friend Bobbie knew Marcin from swing dancing events, and she gave Marcin the seal of approval - saying, ‘He's a nice guy! Marcin's a great dancer! Quite bold - lots of jumps and lots of fun!' A gentleman from the start, Marcin came up to meet Kerry at a restaurant in her area. Kerry came dressed with a cape, a hat, ‘bombastic earrings’, boots, an off-the-shoulder sweater - and Marcin couldn’t take his eyes off her shoulder! Kerry was amazed at how much he talked - he rivalled her, if you can imagine that! She felt very comfortable with Marcin from the start. When he invited her for another date, to swing dance, she couldn’t say no! There was a long gap while Marcin was in Poland for Christmas… and when Marcin finally met Kerry for a third date he managed to catch her! Sitting her down for lunch, he asked what her intentions were! Kerry was so surprised, amazed and impressed by Marcin taking initiative, that her interest was captured! As Marcin slowly opened up, Kerry fell in love with his goofiness, kindness and thoughtfulness, saving the little bumble bees trapped in the kitchen and saying ‘she needs water’ as he tried to save her housemate’s forgotten, drooping plants! Kerry challenged Marcin to win over her housemate’s cat who notoriously disliked men, and Marcin was up for it! He bought some treats and woo’ed little Tilda! (as he does with all animals!) Kerry was taken aback by how Marcin adored her, as well as her niece Eloise + nephew Liam, how he searched down her fave flowers + chocolate for her!!.... Marcin was and is incredibly thoughtful, intentional, deep, creative, an old school gentleman! When he hadn't mentioned much about Kerry's appearance, he said, ‘You're beautiful, but it’s your heart that I am after.’ (swooooooon :o) When Kerry sent Marcin on a Valentine's Day scavenger hunt (around central London while she was in Florida), he knew he was a goner! He had never had such a thoughtful gift planned for him! Marcin fell in love with Kerry's smile, her thoughtfulness, the way she cares about her family and friends, her love for making bold fashion statements with hats, earrings and other accessories, her creativity and more... And the rest is history!

Marcin took Kerry to a Michelin-starred restaurant on the 28th floor of the Hilton Park Lane Hotel - overlooking Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace. It was absolutely delicious (foie gras, steak, cod + salmon we shared!) and afterwards he took Kerry outside on a balcony and there he popped the question. Marcin did wonder why the waiter was lingering behind him - he wanted him to leave us be for the moment, but of course when Marcin was away from the table Kerry had told the waiter that she thought her boyfriend was going to propose so gave him her phone to film!! This made for a hilarious, yet memorable moment as the waiter hovered around us filming! Afterwards we went into Soho to see the Christmas lights and do a bit of shopping… Marcin didn’t want us to call anyone as he said we were still on the date… and so we went home, got into our pj’s and watched Elf together as he’d never seen it!! A completely magical day!!!
