Things To Do
We are excited for you to experience Hilton Head Island with us. Hilton Head is composed of many private "plantations", which are neighborhoods that have security gates that allow only those who have passes to get into. These include: Sea Pines, Shipyard, Palmetto Dunes, Port Royal, Spanish Wells, Hilton Head Plantation, Wexford, Long Cove, etc. The wedding will be located in the Shipyard plantation. In order to get into just tell the security gate you are there for a wedding at the Sonesta Resort. We recommend you staying in either the Shipyard plantation or Palmetto Dunes plantation. The rehearsal dinner will located in Leamington, a subsection of the Palmetto Dunes plantation. Another popular plantation in Sea Pines, this is where the Salty Dog and Harbour Town are located. This is a worthwhile place to visit, however, it will cost $8 for a day pass/car.

This is where Kerry worked the summer after graduating college. She was a dolphin naturalist for their dolphin tours here. This company offers many water sport opportunities including jet skis, creek cats, creek skiffs, kayaking, paddle boarding, and dolphin tours. They also offer children pirate tours out of their palmetto bay and Harbour town locations. Please consider them first when wanting to get on the water.
