Things To Do

Steamboat Mountain

CO 80540
8009222722

If you are planning on skiing or snowboarding the Mountian will still be open. Lift tickets will be discounted for spring skiing but remember to buy your lift tickets at least 7 days in advance for the best price. If you are planning on skiing more then one day it is cheaper to buy a multi day pass. There is also a half day ticket option, with a start time of 12:15pm, last gondola ride up is 4:00pm. When out skiing for the day you can always come to the base of the mountain for a drink or food but there are several lodges on the mountain with food and beverage options. Our two favorites are Four Points Lodge and Rendezvous Lodge depending on which side of the mountain you are skiing. Both offer alcoholic beverages.

Ski & Snowboard Rentals

If you need to rent skis there are several options. We suggest One Stop Ski Shop or Ski Haus for rentals especially if you are looking for performance equipment. Other wise you can rent through the Mountain, Christy Sports, or Steamboat Ski & Bike Kare which are all located at the base of the gondola. If you want your skis delivered straight to you try Black Tie Ski Rental Delivery. There are many other rental shops in area as well. Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs

44200 County Road 36, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487
, (970) 879-0342

These are natural hot springs 20-25 minutes outside of town. You will need a car or you will have to rental a shuttle to get here. Shuttle info is on their website. I also listed a shuttle option under the travel page of this website. It is cash only (no credit or debit cards excepted) and there will be nothing in the area so come prepared. After dark it does become clothing optional. Last entry is two hours before close. There are no physical buildings to change clothing so you will need to change in your car or under a towel/robe, this is what most people do. At night lighting is minimal but it does add to ambiance.

Old Town Hot Springs

136 Lincoln Avenue, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487
, 970-879-1828

Old Town Hot Springs is located downtown on the bus route and is walking distance from most of the downtown hotels. The natural hot springs are routed into man made pools. This center also has a rock climbing wall, gym, and swimming pool. Admission is for the day and includes access to the whole facility and locker rooms. If you are looking for a massage you can book an appointment here.

Fish Creek Falls

In order to explore this area you will need snowshoes, please visit the snowing section on this page for information on rentals. This area is very remote and makes for a relaxing day in the outdoors. You may see 1-2 other people snowshoeing or a family staying in a yurt otherwise you will be blissful alone. There is a small fee to park your car so bring cash and fill out the form when you arrive.
