If you ask us how we met you will probably get two different answers. We met on a cold overcast day in Old Town Alexandria St. Patrick's Day Parade. We were texting each other before actually meeting in person. Keri had a hair appointment that morning in Old Town and was thinking about going to the parade after her appointment. Steve was bored and wanted something to do. Keri was on the fence about actually meeting Steve, but her friend Ahmanda talked her into it and thankfully she did. We rendezvoused at Starbucks and grab some coffee and walked down to Market Square. There just happened to be a dog show going on and since it was St Patrick's Day Parade they were all dressed up in that theme! Keri being a dog lover enjoyed it, Steve found it entertaining, so much so we plan on entering Rocco in the dog show this Sept. Yes, I know St Patrick's Day is in March, but do to COVID it was pushed to September this year. We then found a spot to watch the parade. And the rest is HISTORY!
Keri, had a hair appointment again that day, seems like she is always getting her hair done, and it was National Ice Cream Day. In case you didn't know, Keri loves ice cream, especially soft ice cream. She asked Steve if they could get ice cream at Jimmy T's (local soft ice cream shop) after dinner. Steve said sure. So they went to Jimmy T's and waited in line, there is always a line, and when they got to the counter to order Keri just starts ordering. Steve says's "Hold on" and starts going to his knee. Keri thought really I have to wait to order because you have to tie your shoe. Then she realized that he was getting down on one knee and proposing. Of course, she said yes!!!!
