Officiant
Stephen has been biking with Mike since he was about 16 years old. He has been an outstanding friend and role model for Stephen over the years demonstrating how to be a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He has become a beloved friend of the couple, joining them with his wife Alex on several outdoor adventures and dinner dates. Michael is a highly acclaimed English teacher working in Stamford CT, a father of four, and ripper on the slopes and bike trails. Abigail and Stephen are so thankful to have him joining them together in marriage.
Matron of Honor
Kayla and Abigail met when Abigail was Kayla's teacher's assistant in a college athletic training class. They have literally been best friends ever since. Their friendship has stood the test of time and space through working together at Saint Michael's College as athletic trainers to living across the country from each other. Kayla has been a steadfast friend since day one. Always happily accompanying Abigail on any ridiculous outdoor adventure that leads them off cliffs while back country skiing or on top of mountain in a rain storm. Kayla is not only an iconic friend but a brilliant nurse practitioner, dog mom/whisperer, and gardener. Abigail is beyond grateful to have Kayla (aka Kale) standing by her side as she says "I do".
Best Man
Tom and Stephen have been buddies since early teen years where they meet in the skate park riding bmx. More like brother's than friends the two of them have been getting into all sorts of silly shenanigans together for over a decade. Their bond has been build on trips to Vermont as well as trips to the hospital when Tom inevitably gets hurt doing something reckless. No matter what the occasion Tom is always down to lend a helping hand, volunteer in the community, or get out on his bike or snowboard. He is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. Stephen is so thankful to have Tom by his side on his wedding day and a little bit scared of what he will say in his wedding toast.
Bridesmaid
Jennifer and Abigail have been friends for about 25 years. Growing up together spending literally entire days at the pool in the summer was the foundation of their friendship. While Jen is an only child, she wasn't really. Abigail became like a younger sister (only by 2 days!) taking all of the sibling teasing that Jen had to get out of her system. Abigail still finds out tricks Jen played on her as a child causing the two of them to crack up laughing. That is one of the things Abigail loves most about Jen. She has a sense of humor only rivaled by Jen's husband CJ (the two of them could have a comedy show). Abigail is so thankful to have Jen adding her contagious joy and lightheartedness to this special day.
Bridesmaid
Gabrielle, aka Gabby, aka Gabs have been friends since the early elementary school days. Though the bride can't remember the first day this wonderful human entered her life she can't imagine it without her. Their friendship has withstood the test of time bringing through through intermediate, middle, and high school together and finally landed their free spirits at neighboring colleges. Abigail at UVM and Gabby down the road at Saint Michaels, they bonded over hanging out on church street and walks along Lake Champlain. Gabby, a school councilor, also doubles as the friendly group therapist who always knows the right thing to say. While they are no longer living in apartments down the road from each other, Abigail knows Gabby is always just a phone call away. The bride is so ecstatic to have Gabrielles loving support as she walks down the isle and for all the years to come.
Bridesmaid
Brittany is not only one of Abigail's best friends, but one of her oldest friends. Their lives have been intertwined ever since the age of two when their parents forged a friendship themselves. Their first memories together were on the ski slopes of Okemo where their families rented a ski house together every winter. Brittany's favorite memory may be the time Abigail kicked her front baby tooth out...but to be fair Brittany was tickling Abigail so I think we can all agree it was not the brides fault. On the other hand, Abigail gets a giggle out of the time Brittany helped dye Abigail's hair blue during a Keough-Soucar family dinner. It's safe to say the award for "band influence" was exchanged many times throughout their friendship. Regardless, having a friendship that has not only remained, but flourished over the course of 29 years is quite outstanding. Abigail is so very honored to have one of her oldest friends joining her at the alter of her wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Jillian and Abigail have been friends since their early teen years in middle school but their friendship really formed in anatomy class in high school and out at track and field practice. Jillian is not only exceptionally intelligent, but outstandingly athletic as well. And have I mentioned how beautiful she is? She is one of those people who has literally got it all, including a heart of gold. What Abigail loves the most though is that Jillian will without fail answer a phone call and chat for hours. Need advice on how to handle a situation at work? Help styling a cute outfit for an event? Perspective on an unfortunate situation? Jillian will answer your call and talk you through it. As the matriarch of the group she is always there to give great advice or the sunscreen that you inevitably forgot. Abigail is so thankful to have her wise beyond her years friend nearby as she says "I do."
Bridesmaid
Brynn is technically Stephen's cousin. However, since both Brynn and Stephen were only children she is more like a sister. Stephen and Brynn spent their childhood going on family vacations most notably to the Jersey Shore. What they remember most seems to be Stephen taking on the little brother role which entailed surprise nurf gun attacks and generally harassing Brynn at all costs. Adulthood has only meet the two with an even stronger sense of kinship as Stephen became an uncle to Brynn's son Cooper. Spending time with Brynn, her husband Taylor (or is it David?) and Cooper after a day at Mountain Creek Bike Park has been a constant for the couple over the last three years. Abigail is so thankful to have Brynn standing by her side as she joins the family and gains Brynn as a sister in law.
