If you must know, Tyler and I met in the most unique way—exactly how any modern singleton dreams of it: romantic, whimsical, straight out of a movie… just kidding…we met online. Bumble or Hinge—we honestly can’t remember. I moved to Boston in 2019 for a travel nurse contract and, as one does, downloaded the apps to meet people and explore the city. Tyler and I swiped right in the Fall, but our journey wasn't straight and narrow. I was a wandering soul, unsure of my next move in life, so we played it casual. We didn't just visit the friend zone - we signed a long-term lease. It wasn't until the summer of 2020 that we thought it was a good time to think about being more than just friends. After our trek up Mount Katahdin, Maine’s highest peak—we made it official. In August of 2024, we got engaged in Yoho National Park in Banff, Canada a few miles into our 11 mile hike. It was just us and it was perfect. We made it through COVID, surgeries, funerals, and a grueling graduate program together, so naturally, the next step was to move across the country. In August of 2025, I dragged the East Coast boy west to Denver, and we’ve been loving life in the Mile High City since.
