Here's to Forever

We met during the first week of freshman year in 2022. It all started on a walk to Northgate when Kenzlea turned around, looked at Matthew, and said, “No khaki on khaki”—meaning she didn’t date anyone in the Corps. Matthew just smiled, and that’s when Kenzlea realized she might have spoken too soon. A few weeks later, some friends convinced us to go on a 3 a.m. Denny’s run. We ended up sitting next to each other in the booth, hardly saying a word… but once we got back to the Quad, we sat on a bench and talked until 8 in the morning. Definitely a "first date" to remember. We officially started dating on November 11, 2022, and we’ve been adventuring together ever since. From late-night talks to cheering each other on through every challenge, we’ve loved growing together—and we can’t wait to see what’s next as husband and wife.
