When should I book lodging?
Answer
As soon as possible to ensure availability! Whether you plan to stay at Grand Superior Lodge or another hotel in town, lodging books up months in advance on the North Shore during summer. Hotels in the area use dynamic pricing, which means the longer you wait, the higher the price.

Is lodging at Grand Superior Lodge limited?
Answer
Yes! We have five rooms left in our room block, and the lodge only has a handful of other rooms available. Please call early to book if you plan to stay here!

Where can I stay if there is no availability or I don't want to stay at the Grand Superior Lodge?
Answer
We recommend looking at lodging options in Two Harbors to find what works best for you. Options include AmericnInn, Country Inn, and Superior Shores Resort—all within a 15 minute drive from our venue.
Question
Will there be transportation to and from the reception if I'm not staying at the Grand Superior Lodge?

We are considering transportation from hotels in town depending on guest interest.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Semi-Formal We kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white and to choose attire appropriate for a church ceremony (midi or longer dresses preferred). Suit jackets are optional.

What should I know about parking for the ceremony?
Answer
Parking is primarily on the street outside the church and may require a short walk. Please plan to arrive between 1:30-1:45 PM to allow time for parking and seating.

What should I expect during the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony will take place in a Catholic church and will be approximately 30-45 minutes. All are welcome—please feel free to participate as you feel comfortable or simply observe.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
August on the North Shore is typically mild and comfortable, with daytime temperatures in the 70s. Evenings by the lake can be cooler, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or layers. Fire pits will be available on the outdoor patio.
