Friday (for family): Casual - no suit jackets or heels needed. Please wear earthy tones for photos. Saturday: Casual mountain cocktail/sophisticated western. Huh? Think casual cocktail attire but throw in some cowboy boots, bolo ties, turquoise jewelry, and hats. Telluride is a vibe. No suits please. Sunday: Comfy clothes, hiking clothes, birthday suit.
Telluride - 12 minutes; Montrose - 1.5 hours; Durango - 2.5 hours; Grand Junction - 2.5 hours; Denver - 6.5 hours.
Mountain Village is its own incorporated town, but it is basically the ski area and base village right above the town of Telluride. There are lodges, restaurants and shops, but the town of Telluride is much cooler. It takes 15 minutes to get from Telluride to Mountain Village by car. However, there is a FREE Gondola from downtown Telluride to the center of Mountain Village. The Gondola runs nonstop until 2am. This is the best way to get from Mountain Village to town and back if you want to explore both areas. The Gondola ride is about 15 minutes.
We strongly prefer no kids as we want you to let loose and have a good time! However, so many of our friends recently had their first baby, so please reach out if your infant needs to come and we will try to accommodate :)
As soon as possible but no later than May 15. This is an intimate gathering and we had to narrow down our guest list more than we wanted. If you can't come, let us know so we can invite others in your place.
We are hosting a big brunch at our Airbnb in Mountain Village on Sunday morning. After brunch, we hope that everyone will hang and play yard games, soak up the sun, and maybe even go on a hike or bike.
If you get a DUI - Kenzie will get you off. JK. Don't drink and drive. We will have rides around Mountain Village Saturday night until 2:30 am, so please stay in Mountain Village or within walking distance of the gondola in town (or have a sober driver). There are no ubers or reliable ride shares in Telluride. If you are planning to take the gondola back to town, you will need to leave the late night party by 1:45am to catch the last gondola.
