Kamaiya & Kenzie's friendship began in the 6th grade (13 years ago if you are counting) when they had matching schedules. But, it did not blossom into the friendship you guys see today until they were paired together for a book report. From there Kamaiya became Kenzie's best friend and now she serves as their Maid of Honor. If you see her at the wedding conversation topics could be, traveling, tequila, and dinosaurs.

"Can I sit here?" is the exact question that sparked the friendship between Caitlin & Kenzie. Caitlin decided on the first day of 6th grade that they were going to be friends and well it worked! Despite Kenzie moving middle schools in the 7th grade, Kenzie & Caitlin rekindled the friendship during their freshman advisory class. If you see her at the wedding conversation topics could include, Harry Potter, her dog Padfoot, and the iPhone octopus family that her and Kenzie had their freshman year.

Fun Fact: After Vincent & Kenzie got engaged they went to Pizza Street for dinner. Which is also coincidentally how Vincent & Mac met 6 years prior. From Pizza Street to high school physics to marching band to Mac's own wedding in 2024, they have truly been inseparable. If you see her at the wedding conversations can include (but are not limited to), dinosaurs, video games (specifically Legend of Zelda based), and her husband & their cats.

Ashton & Kenzie technically met the last day of formal sorority recruitment. But the friendship truly began on the day of big/little reveal and one singular photo shoot. After that, they spent almost every second possible together. From sitting on Kenzie's couch and playing with Mavis to after chapter debriefs, their friendship was formed during the quiet moments of life. If you see her at the wedding conversation topics could include, her two cats, the ice skating lore of the 2020 Winter Olympics, and being a fangirl in 2012.

Fun Fact: One of the earliest wedding "arguments" between Vincent & Kenzie was whose side Enoch would stand by, and that pretty much sums up who he is as a person. Enoch met the couple through playing the flute in high school. Even if he is standing on Vincent's side, the running joke amongst the friend group is that Enoch is literally Kenzie & Vincent’s son (he is. pry that from our cold dead hands). Kenzie & Landry were fast friends after bonding over their similar love of BuzzFeed Unsolved. Even though they were in two separate parts of Missouri, Landry and Kenzie were in frequent communication. This friendship was forged over MANY mutual interests including Taylor Swift and Kenzie's favorite book boyfriend, Peeta Mallark. If you see her at the wedding conversation topics could include, Taylor Swift (most of Kenzie's Taylor news comes from Landry), the healthcare system, and if bears are friend shaped or not.
Jasper

The friendship between Vincent & Jasper was forged over art, Casey's runs before classes, and both knowing Enoch. Vincent has got to watch Jasper go through all changes of life from career changes to personal changes. Their friendship is strong enough that Vincent trusted Jasper to tattoo them not once, but three times (don't worry they are licensed). If you see him please speak to him about anything art related but specifically tattooing, anything you'd find on a forest floor, and crystals.

Naomi & Kenzie was another friendship that technically started during formal sorority recruitment. From Kenzie crying to Naomi on Preference day to eventually running home to them, Naomi became Kenzie's safe space within the sorority life. However, they truly became friends after getting impromptu tattoos as a big/little date (now they have matching tattoos). If you see her at the wedding conversations can include, books (specifically fantasy is their jam), what its like being known as the Shazam friend, and Kenzie's favorite dog, Lola.

Vincent’s longest friendship. Brought to you by matching schedules in 6th grade, similar YouTube interests, a love for videos games, and an empty seat in the Northgate lunch room. The two over the years continued to bond over the love of music such as musical theater, marching band, and jazz band. If you see him at the wedding Eryn's favorite topics include, their son, Philip J. Minecraft, any video game ever, and how island life is.

What is funny about this friendship is Kenzie & Tess went on a big/little date right after Kenzie got engaged. Tess and Kenzie's friendship began on the lawn of the Nelson-Atkin's Museum with the fancy dinner of Pizza 51. After that day, the coffee runs never stopped. In college KAT time (a term that signified Kenzie, Ashton, and Tess were hanging out) became some of Kenzie's favorite memories. "Mommy, are you pregnant?" is Vincent’s earliest memory of Kai. Jessica, Vincent’s mom, told Vinny no because she genuinely didn't think she was, but not too long after, she broke the news. They loved watching My Little Pony and playing video games together. They're also like...super stinky. (Sorry Kai. Older siblings job is to bully just a little). Kai loves to talk, but specifically about Hello Kitty, Garfield, My Little Pony, and strangely....math.

Sam actually first came into our life through this wife, Ashley. However, him & vincent became friends over a cup of tea (yes, very fancy). From that moment on, it was clear that Sam & Vincent were meant to be in each other’s lives. From double dinner dates that they get wrapped up in conversation, to trying a different beer every time he comes over- friendship with Sam has felt like it has always been there.
