What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail casual attire. For women, we recommend midi or below-the-knee dresses. For men, a suit or tailored blazer with dress pants is appropriate; linen suits are absolutely welcome given the warm weather. Ties are optional. Bolo ties are welcome for a Western-inspired touch.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Welcome to the desert! In late May, Moab is typically warm and sunny during the day with average highs around 75–85°F, and cooler at night with lows around 45–55°F. The sun may be bright and hot. The desert climate can also change quickly and dramatically. Warm afternoons can shift into much cooler evenings once the sun goes down. For our wedding, we recommend dressing for warm temperatures during the ceremony and bringing a light jacket or layers for the evening celebration.

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! Small children are invited. We know many of our friends and family have babies and young children, and we want to make it as easy as possible for our guests to travel to Moab and celebrate with us. Please note that adult children are not included unless specifically named on the invitation.

Can I Uber or Lyft around Moab?

Answer

Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft, as well as taxi services, are very limited in Moab and can be unreliable. We strongly recommend having access to a car during your stay. Having a car will give you the flexibility to explore the incredible scenery around Moab and easily access nearby parks like Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. A shuttle will be provided to and from the venue, departing from Hoodoo Moab

Is there parking at the venue?

Guests are welcome to skip the shuttle and drive themselves to the venue. Please note that vehicles CANNOT be left overnight, so be sure to plan for a safe ride back after the celebration.

Do I have to stay at Hoodoo Moab?

Answer

While we have a room block at Hoodoo Moab and will be staying there, you are welcome to stay wherever best fits your needs and budget. There are many great hotel and lodging options throughout Moab. We recommend staying near downtown for convenient access to restaurants, shops, and activities. Please note that shuttle transportation to and from the wedding venue will pick up and drop off at Hoodoo Moab. If you choose to stay elsewhere and would like to use the shuttle, transportation to and from the hotel will be your responsibility.
