Mitch is my closest friend. God used a random meet-up during a pickup basketball game to introduce me to a brother whose character is consistent, and who uniquely demonstrates the richness of what real relationship with Christ looks like. He’s someone that I have relied on in the craziness of college, and his heart, joy, and analysis of Lopes basketball have really kept me grounded during my time at GCU.

My sister too!!!! Haley makes me LAUGH harder than really anyone on this planet. She gets me on that whole other "sister level" that I cannot explain. Haley is a rare and wonderful human that I get to have as a sister.

As roommates at GCU, Paul quickly turned into a great friend and brother as we did life together. A true humble beast, Paul introduced me to the sport of bouldering, where he encouraged me with my limited abilities as I watched in awe as he easily made his way up these crazy climbing routes. Late night study sessions were accompanied by real conversations and great music from our Discover playlists.

My very bestest friend since 6th grade!! Kenzie has been there beside me through EVERYTHING. She is one of my most cherished gifts from the Lord because of how faithful and steadfast she has been as a friend. Kenzie knows me and loves me unconditionally and she makes me a better person!

A brotherhood formed by the Navigators and a bond strengthened by breakfast burritos from our beloved Rise and Shine restaurant, Brendan is my closest friend in Bozeman. After meeting at a Nav Night, I got to see how serious Brendan was about his faith, allowing his life to be fully driven by Christ. Fast forward to now, I look back with gratitude at our consistency and the growth I've experienced from this friend.

Kale has been such a loyal brother to me in each season of life, faithfully providing perspective that’s rooted in a genuine affection for Jesus and urgency for the Gospel. He embodies humility and I look up to him so much for his courage and faith in and for Christ.

Jared, AKA the GCU Net Guy, is arguably the best Havoc GCU basketball has seen in its history. We bonded over our love for the Lopes, and our friendship has continued to grow. I have been so blessed by Jared’s presence in my life, his ability to speak truth in love and call me higher (a quality that Jared showed very early in our friendship), and his faithful devotion to lift me and Kenya up in prayer.

Jacob and I were co-counselors in the mighty cabin of Lily at day camp during the summer I met Kenya. I am so thankful for how Jacob relates so well to people and demonstrates what excitement about serving Jesus truly looks like, which is continually apparent in Jacob’s heart for missions and in his gift for loving and encouraging others. We also share a deep passion for throwing big rocks into lakes.

One of my earliest friends, Seth and I spent a great amount of our younger years together. I attribute a large part of my love for sports to Seth just because of the endless amounts of backyard football games we would play. Although a move to different states separated us, our recent past has involved the occasional visits, where reconnecting with Seth is easy and always a blessing. Thankful to have this good friend for life.

My future brother-in-law and I do not have a picture together YET, but I greatly look up to Hud for his recognition of the Gospel’s work in his life, the way he lives his life as a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17), and how he has continually loved and protected Kenya as her brother. I love this guy and am very thankful to be gaining this godly man as a brother.
