Question

Will the ceremony and reception be outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside on the backyard lawn of the Oliver's home. If the weather forecast calls for rain, you may want to bring an umbrella. There will be a small tent covering their patio, but that will be all for outdoor cover. The reception will also be outside, however under a large tent covering all the tables, chairs, dance floor, and bar. This tent will protect us from the elements, but there will be a short walk to the washrooms.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

For the ceremony at Dennis and Lorraine's home, all the street parking is free so find a spot wherever you can. Things might get a little busy here, which is part of the reason why we are offering a shuttle bus to go from Michael and Margaret's home to the ceremony, and then back again. This way, you can park early there where the reception is going to be, and not have to drive again until the end of the night. Let us know if you're interested in this option! For the reception parking at Michael and Margaret's home, we are recommending no parking on the street. The majority of the parking spaces will be located on their next-door neighbours' lawn at this address: 2066 Ainsley Rd, Hamilton, ON

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. The setting is rustic, so no need to dress super fancy. The grass can be soft, so please wear appropriate footwear. Most importantly, we want everyone to feel comfortable!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love all your children, this is an adult-only event. Unfortunately, older children in their late teens or early twenties may not attend either, due to space constraints. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to guest capacity, we ask that you do not bring a plus one unless their name is included on your invitation.

Question

What is the plan for photography?

Answer

We have hired professional photographers, our friends, Jessica and James from Oddly Picturesque. Generally, we encourage everyone to take it easy and 'unplug' from their screens for the day. However, you are more than welcome to take your own photos. We'd be very grateful if you'd share your favourite pictures using this Google Drive link: photos.koliver.ca

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

We do not have a registry. Instead, a financial contribution to our honeymoon fund would be greatly appreciated.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the 'Travel' page on this website for more information.
