Maid of Honor
Maddi and Kensleigh met in 6th grade while riding the bus home from school, but it wasn't until an 8th-grade art class that they finally became close friends when Maddi helped Kensleigh with all her art projects. They were inseparable all through high school and have remained close friends ever since, visiting each other in college, at their first houses after college, and now getting to live in the same town again! They share a love for the beach and warm, sunny days.
Jonathan Mackanic
Best Man
Jon and Matthew met in college when they were randomly paired together in a Craige residence hall suite at UNC. Someone making the pairings thought John and Jon and Matthew and Matthew would make a great suite and it turns out they had the right idea. That random pairing led to a great friendship that has lasted to this day making so many amazing memories together. A favorite of Matthew’s is the trip Jon and Matthew took to California during their junior year of college to visit Jon's brother in California.
Michelle Munoz
Bridesmaid
Michelle and Kensleigh were suitemates their freshman year at UNC and instantly became friends! Throughout college, they loved enjoying snow days and going to UNC games and concerts together. They've remained close friends ever since and Kensleigh got to be a bridesmaid in Michelle's wedding in 2023.
John Foulkes
Groomsman
John and Matthew also met in college when they were fatefully paired in the same suite. John and Matthew’s friendship only grew through college and they have been friends ever since. Matthew’s favorite memory with John is when John came to visit him in Creede, Colorado while he was living there with Kensleigh for the winter. They enjoyed cross-country skiing and life at 9000 feet.
Morgan Smith

Morgan and Kensleigh also met in 6th grade where they both played the flute and liked to write songs together (hobbies they thankfully left behind in middle school). They have remained close friends, from their high school days of playing soccer and running cross-country together to getting to be bridesmaids in each other's weddings.
Kurt Nelson
Groomsman
Kurt and Matthew met freshman year and their friendship only grew from there. Kurt and Matt moved into a house together junior year and lived together until graduation. Since graduation, Kurt and Matt have developed a mutual love for wine and cooking always looking for fun new meals to create. Kurt and Matt have made so many incredible memories but a favorite has to be their trip to Spain visiting San Sebastián and Haro in wine country with Kensleigh and his fiancée Emily.
Izzie Hirschy
Bridesmaid
Izzie and Kensleigh met freshman year of college and lived together for two years. They spent many nights at He's Not Here in Chapel Hill, collecting blue cups and watching UNC games. After college, they spent their Saturdays tailgating and cheering on the Heels in Kenan Stadium. They have been dreaming about their weddings together since the UNC water crisis of 2016 (ask Izzie if you want to know the story) and in 2024 they will finally be bridesmaids in each other's weddings!
Theo Gandelheid

Theo and Matthew met sophmore year of college and became quick friends. Junior year when Matthew moved into a house at UNC (with Jon, John, and Kurt) Theo quickly became an integral part of the house and ended up moving in with us for part of the year. Since that day, Theo has been a key part of Matthew's life and an amazing friend. Theo and Matt share a love of soccer, formula 1, and fishing.
Katelynn Walker
Bridesmaid
Katelynn became Kensleigh's sister when her dad married Kensleigh's mom 18 years ago. They immediately became friends, wearing each other's clothes and making up dance routines together. Being two years younger, Kensleigh always looked up to Katelynn and wanted to do everything she did. As adults, they love planning trips together - going places like Quebec City (when there was four feet of snow on the ground) to braving NYC on New Year's Eve. Kensleigh got to be a bridesmaid in Katelynn's wedding four years ago and now gets to have Katelynn in hers!
Zoey Harris
Junior Bridesmaid
Zoey is Kensleigh's niece and is very excited for the "big girl" role of being a junior bridesmaid. Zoey is a die-hard Tar Heel fan and loves having sleepovers at Auntie Kensleigh's house. Zoey and Kensleigh share a birthday month and a love for cookie dough and funfetti cake!
