We're getting married!

While both attending UNC, we didn't meet until the summer of 2017 when we were both studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain. We connected instantly and spent most days together exploring Sevilla or traveling to nearby cities and countries with our group of friends. When we returned to Chapel Hill in the fall, it was clear our friendship had grown. We officially began dating on November 17, 2017. After Matt graduated in May 2018, he took a job in Chapel Hill to stay close while Kensleigh finished her senior year. That summer our relationship took a big step - raising a puppy together! We took our puppy Marley everywhere, from Franklin Street bars to the mountains and the beach. Marley will turn six in June and still loves to go everywhere we go! Our love of exploring new places together has only continued to grow since that first summer! Some of our favorite trips include a road trip around Puerto Rico, returning to Sevilla and exploring new regions of Spain, visiting German Christmas markets, and driving across the US to spend winters in Creede, Colorado. In the spring of 2023, we moved from the Triangle where we had lived since college (and Matt had lived his whole life) to Wilmington, NC, and bought our first house! After settling into homeownership, Matt planned a surprise trip (Kensleigh had no idea where we were going until we got to the airport!) back to Sevilla in September 2023. Matt proposed in the gardens of Real Alcazar in Sevilla. And that brings us to today! We have been planning our wedding ever since and are so excited to celebrate with each of you on November 23rd! You have each played a role in shaping our story and we are incredibly grateful for all your love and support!
