FAQs

Question

When should we arrive to the venue?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive for the ceremony between 4:30 and 4:45 PM, allowing time to be seated by 4:55 PM. Please plan ahead for traffic (traffic can be heavy in the Newport area in the summer) and any unexpected delays so you can be comfortably settled before the ceremony begins. There is parking available at the venue. See below regarding further transportation details.

Question

Will there be transportation shuttles?

Answer

Shuttles will run from our two hotel blocks—the Seabreeze and the Sonesta—to the wedding, with a boarding time of 3:50 PM. Shuttles will depart promptly at 4:00 PM. Following the reception, shuttle service will be provided to both the hotel blocks (Sonesta and Sea Breeze hotels) and the after party location (Judge Roy Bean Saloon). Shuttles are expected to depart at approximately 10:30 PM. Two late-night shuttle departures will be provided back to the hotel blocks from the after-party, departing from the after party at approximately 11:45 PM and 1:00 AM. If a large number of guests stay at other hotels, we will look into arranging additional shuttle service to/from an additional location. Guests staying at other accommodations are unlikely to be able to park at the Sonesta and take the shuttle from there, as parking will likely be limited. Unfortunately, there is no additional parking available at the Sea Breeze. **Other considerations: Check-in times for most hotels are usually 4pm. Our buses will be boarding for the ceremony at 3:50pm. Therefore, it may be best to arrive Thursday evening (then you can also join us for welcome drinks, yay!). Guests staying outside of the hotel blocks are encouraged to use ride-share services for transportation. Please note that ride-share availability may be limited, especially later in the evening and early morning, so we recommend scheduling rides in advance to help avoid extended wait times.

Question

What are the reception menu options? Are there alternative choices available for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Salad course - Strawberry Salad: strawberries, shaved red onion, crumbled chèvre, candied almonds, spinach and arugula, honey red wine vinaigrette Dinner course (option of one of the below): Chicken - Lemon Herb Statler Chicken: goat cheese potato croquette, native corn and tomato salad, basil pesto cream sauce Beef - Braised Short Ribs: parmesan mashed yukon potatoes, roasted root vegetables, red wine jus, jumbo onion ring Vegetarian - Pumpkin Ravioli: sage brown butter cream, roasted wild mushrooms, shaved parmesan Other – Please let us know if any dietary restrictions or allergies prevent you from selecting one of the options above or enjoying the pre-selected strawberry salad option. Please note this on your RSVP, and we will contact you to ensure we are able to accommodate you. It is important to us that all of our guests enjoy a delicious dinner and have plenty of energy to celebrate on the dance floor :)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the ceremony and reception is Garden Party Formal. We encourage guests to wear suits and summery floor-length dresses if possible — bonus points for florals! Please note that the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on the grass lawn, so block heels or wedges may be more comfortable. The dress code for the welcome drinks is Dressy Casual. We encourage guests to wear button-up shirts, sundresses, or other polished summer attire — think a nice outdoor cocktail party on the Newport marina. This event is also on a grass lawn, so block heels or wedges are encouraged.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we've chosen to make our wedding a celebration for guests aged 13 and up. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the evening.
