Matron of Honor
Well, she’s my sister which makes her my longest standing friend. She’s filling in some of the mother of the Bride role, since Charlene is gone. Charlene and I completely planned her wedding so it’s only fair that she have a big role in mine. Sorry Rachel you will be in pink or some other especially prissy color. It will be your first truly beautiful dress!
Maid of Honor
My Bestie, There's really just to much to say, my hair stylist, my traveling buddy, my whoaddy to the end! We decorate together, we watch movies and sleep over. With 17 years of friendship, she has best prepared me for a long-term relationship. "Just Breathe". "Cheater, cheater, Let the kids play." "You over cooking my grits, Youst." I sat here thinking of many more movie quotes, but since no one else gets this, I'll stop. Ok, one more, "I'm Cold"
Bridesmaid
We grew up in church together, but she was a bit older than me so we only really talked when serving first Sunday dinner. Then some 12 years later she was saved and we started traveling together. A few cruises and road trips later, she is one of my best friends. She often pretends like she won't walk down dark alleys in foreign lands, but I've never done one fool thing on vacation without her. Look Re, I don't care what your parents told you, strangers are nice and you should eat their candy.
Bridesmaid
My play sister by marriage, we've had alot of fun together. We both wear a size 6, so we've always been able to share clothes and shop together. She's the other half of my marriage counseling, so this bridesmaid invitation is a little insurance to make sure this wedding gets approved. Thanks ahead of time, Nick-knack.
Bridesmaid
Pam spends her time telling me how to perfect my auntie skills and generally get along with others. We met when she decided to marry my brother and have been sisters ever since. She's great for a long chat, shopping on vacation, and a funny story, but never and I mean never try to get her to remember something you did together a few years ago, she'll stare at you like you've not met before and say "Um yeah, l don't remember that". If you want to reminiscence, share memories with her right away and take a picture, or you can forget it, cause she definitely will!
Bridesmaid
As a teenager, I started following Renee around when she got pregnant with her first child. Through her first two babies, I spent my weekends with her. Now that I'm getting married Renee is spending her time following me about making sure I know what I'm getting into. She was my first intimate view of marriage, child rearing, and what not to cook. Just because it's white "sauce" (it's really mushroom soup), doesn't mean you can pour it over pasta and call it alfredo!
Bridesmaid
Too may times together to say, we have been through a lot of experiences together. Tae Tae has known me her whole life and our roles have switched back and forth about who has more experience on a given topic.
Best Man
Feels like I’ve known Branden my whole life (I’m sure that has taken years off my life) and there are no words to describe the impact our friendship has had on me.(most of the impact was for the best, I’ll limit this post to only good things) He is the 2nd funniest person I know of course that comes behind myself. We share an unbreakable bond one of the most heart moving times for me is when my mother was sick in the hospital for a month. Branden would spend nights with me at the hospital to help me take care of her and get up and go to work the next day and be right back there to give support to my family. (He was also breaking the food rule by sneaking her in hot dogs and fried chicken but I said only good things so that’s for another time.) Branden is more than a friend he is a brother!
Groomsman
Josh and I have been great friends for a few years now and he has always been an inspiration to me because of his desire to always push pass his limits. The visible way someone can see this is going to the gym with Josh, if he doesn’t injure a body part, the workout was a failure. I spent many sore days at home thanks to Josh. So keep me in your prayers because he is helping me get my wedding body.
Groomsman
One of the first people I met when I moved to Las Vegas, Daniel has been a great friend since day one. He was my first real personal trainer. One of the worst things I’ve ever done was telling Daniel I wanted to workout, he would come to my house every morning at 4:30am to get me for the gym and nothing would stop him from that. He would jump the balcony and break into my house to wake me up if I didn’t answer the phone. There was a time I just considered giving him a key because he was scaring the neighbors.
Groomsman
Even though I’ve known Jerry the least amount of time from all my other groomsmen, our bond is still just as strong. Jerry was a great friend for me in one of the hardest times of my life. We were both facing the same issues of seeing our mothers fighting life threatening sicknesses. Even though he has the lowest sports IQ I’ve ever seen and I had to consistently teach him about the NBA great (Lebron James)! Without his friendship, I wouldn’t have made it past that time.
Groomsman
Sam is that one friend that is needed in every group of friends. No matter the disagreement, sports or solving the world’s problems Sam is the one the whole group turns to for the right answers. I am not sure how he became the answer sheet but that’s how it is. So Sam! My wedding is going to be a hit right?
Groomsman
The Big Homie! Outside of my blood brother Johnnie has known me the longest of all my groomsmen. Johnnie was a father figure to me during my high school years. No one could tell me I wasn’t the flyest guy in high school because I was stealing all of Johnnie’s clothes. There are parts of me that wouldn’t be me without his influence!
Groomsman
C Mac!!!!! Corey has known me since birth. He babysat me, we fought, we played football together and a host of other things. This is my blood brother and there is no way I could have one of the biggest days of my life if he wasn't there. Corey has been one of my biggest supporters from going to my basketball games, watching me play or playing side by side with me in football. My brother has always been there for me and I know my wedding will be no different!
Groomsman
Aurelius is my (Rebecca) brother and I've known him my whole life. I desperately wanted to be him as he did everything right: he could draw, read, play video games (Shinobi) and always knew the best TV to watch and on top of all that he was a boy! Green with envy. Now he's my go-to guy for all things technology and nerd. He got me hooked on my favorite show, Walking Dead, (there's goes that TV wisdom again) and he keeps my house full of gadgets so that I too can appear to be an artist as good as he is.
