Chief Court Madam
Jillian and Kennely have been BFFs for quite a few years. They met when Kennely first started her CrossFit journey. As the story goes, the extroverted Jillian saw the introverted Kennely and “forced” her to talk. Jillian has helped Kennely through a lot of ups and downs, constantly encouraging her and helping her in many ways without ever asking for anything in return. She was Kennely’s first and most obvious choice for Maid of Honor. In fact, she told Jillian about 3 months into her relationship with Andrew that *when* they get married, Jillian has to be the maid of honor. Kennely would like to extend a special message of thanks to Jillian for her relentless love and support and for getting her through so much on her journey to Andrew.
Lord Chancellor
Adam and Andrew have been friends since middle school, and have had a ton of fun along the way. Some highlights include: acting alongside each other in various high school drama club productions, playing tenor sax together in the band and lifting weights together at the gym. Adam has long been a source of wisdom for Andrew, often called upon to give a matter-of-fact answer that serves to bring Andrew's imagined reality back in line with the real world. Adam chose Andrew as his best man, and Andrew is thrilled to have Adam by his side as his best man now.
Queen's Counsel
Kelly is the first sister Kennely ever had. Even though it is by law, rather than blood, Kennely loves Kelly just the same. She came into our lives when she started dating Brendan, Kennely's older brother. She has been a wonderful example of a wife, mother, sister, friend for Kennely to look up to.
Barrister
Brendan is the older brother of the bride. He was (and still is!) her protector and superhero. While they were always on a different path in their life, Brendan was quick to be there whenever something scary was happening or when Kennely needed a hand with something difficult. She could always count on him to help at the drop of a hat. Brendan has always been a role model for Kennely, even if she wouldn't admit it. She is proud of the father he has become and loves and appreciates all he has done for her.
Queen's Counsel
Though Katy is the sister of the groom, Andrew, Katy and Kennely are kindred spirits- sharing the love of cats, art, and luxury pastries. Katy and Andrew are always enjoying a good joke or some nice family banter. Andrew has always admired Katy for her artistic ability, her consistent upbeat attitude and her amazing ability to find lost things.
King's Counsel
Nort (a nickname bestowed by Andrew at a young age) is Andrew's older brother. Nort has been a playmate, fishing partner, hiking buddy, friend and mentor for his entire life. Andrew has looked up to Nort as many younger brothers do: at first competing to be the best and eventually cooperating to better the both of them, rather than one person being the victor. Nort has provided Andrew with a role model for how to act in life, with modesty, with dependability and with care for others. Andrew has always admired Nort's intelligence, his amazing memory and his ability to read a book while doing any task. Being Nort's brother has shaped Andrew significantly, and Andrew considers himself lucky to be shaped in such a way.
Bailiff
Sean is a recent friend, as far as friends of Andrew go, but he is a strong one. Sean and Andrew's friendship kicked off when Andrew needed a new gym partner. Sean took up the challenge and proceeded to hit the gym nearly every day for two years. Only Covid could stop the gym marathon Sean and Andrew had embarked on. Though their mutual love of weightlifting is how they met, Sean soon expressed an interest in the law, particularly investigation. Andrew opened the door for a job for Sean and soon the two were working cases together. Sean is dependable, hard working, faithful and honest. These are all qualities that Andrew strives for, and having Sean as a friend provides an excellent standard for Andrew to judge himself by.
Chief of Protocol
Sophia, the daughter of Chief Court Madam (Maid of Honor) Jillian, holds a special place in Kennely's heart. As the friendship of Kennely and Jillian progressed, Sophia went from a little lovely bug to a sophisticated and wonderful young woman. Kennely sees a lot of herself in Sophia and how Sophia is growing into her own character. The bride was overjoyed to be able to ask Sophia to be a part of this special occasion with her own title and importance to the day.
Master of the Rolls
If Andrew's mother and Steve's mother knew the trouble these two would encourage from the other, perhaps they would have split them up right away when they met in cub scouts at five years old. Since that meeting Steve and Andrew have been close friends, hanging out together throughout primary school, and then reconnecting after college. Andrew and Steve spent much of their after-college years together, living in Sunderland and Westfield together, and even moving out to Medford for a stint. Andrew has looked to Steve for fun, for moral guidance and for an example of how to live life with passion.
Master of the Bench
Andrew met Jason at a friends house when Jason came back with an empty pizza box that was supposed to contain pizza. Andrew egged Jason's car and that is the last time Andrew has ever seen Jason do anything besides help another person, at any cost. Jason has shown Andrew what it means to be hospitable, to help others and to care for those around you. Jason is always around when you need him, and Andrew has made such a request for help many times. Jason never fails to help, and Andrew has learned a lot from that.
Floral Marshal
Emery is the niece of the bride. She is a spunky, lovely tumbling girl. She loves unicorns, mermaids, and cartwheels. She was eager to accept her position in the wedding when she heard there was a fancy dress involved. Auntie Kennely and Uncle Andrew love you and thank you for being part of our day, Em!
Ring Marshal
Cameron is the nephew of the bride. He is a tough, smart cookie. Don't let him fool you if he is shy at first, he is quite the leader and conversationalist. He wasn't quite sure about the whole Ring Bearer thing, but was excited to party! Auntie Kennely and Uncle Andrew love you and thank you for being part of our wedding, Cam!
Chief Justice
We have the honor of being wed by the local courthouse celebrity, Honorable Judge O'Grady. Having established a relationship with the Judge on both sides of the aisle, Andrew knew he would be first pick to officiate our wedding. As a bonus, the Honorable Judge shares a wedding anniversary with the future Mr. and Mrs. He did seek specific permission from his Honorable wife to marry another couple on their anniversary, to which we appreciate her for allowing!
