In the far far distant past, fate and a few clicks of the mouse brought Andrew Ott and Kennely Curran together. They were complete strangers and are now inseparable companions in love and frights. Here's how it all began. He asked her for advice on her deadlift. She responded with helpful tips. He was different, genuine. He took her advice with stride, listening and paying close attention. She was intrigued by this man, that asked for advice and seemed to humbly accept that she could be stronger, or at least, have better form. Quickly, she realized the ease of the conversation. She zoomed in on his pictures, trying to really see what this mystery man with an affinity for the gym, really looked like. She thought he was cute. He apparently thought the same. “Yes! The deadlift girl responded!” He thought. It didn’t take long to set up their first date. Soks Runway. She had never been but it was local, if it was a bust at least she didn’t have to drive far. But it wasn’t a bust. He held the door open for her. Walking up, seeing him for the first time, she blushed. “He is way more attractive than I prepared myself for!” She thought. That first date was the start of the rest of their lives.
Andrew had been planning this for months. Kennely had been too. Andrew carefully designed an engagement ring based on the 100s of designs Kennely had sent him... starting about two months into their relationship. They planned a trip to Canada. The first plan was to stop for sunrise on a mountain top in Vermont, where Andrew would get down on one knee, the romantic sunrise in the background. The mountain was closed. Andrew kept the ring in his pocket. Kennely had no clue. They made it across the border, it was so early in the morning and they had done a fair amount of travel. Kennely had already woken up much earlier than she normally would, for the aforementioned sunrise. By the time they got to their hotel, she felt exhausted and just wanted to settle in for a few minutes in their room before they started to explore. No can do, said Andrew. We should go to the botanical garden right now, no time to spare. Kennely couldn’t see what the rush was, but Andrew was so excited, she just went along with it. She had no idea how much the Jardin Botanique would change their lives. The gardens were such a beautiful sight. Tulips flooded the entrance, as did other tourists. It was a little overwhelming for Kennely. Andrew took notice and secured a map of the gardens, quickly spotting a path that would be a little less busy. He knew that he didn’t want to spare anymore time, Kennely had limited time left on her social meter. He chose the purple path. It was surprisingly secluded for such a busy place. It had rained, so the ground was wet and muddy. He let Kennely get a little ahead of him. He used that same park map to get down on one knee, so he wouldn’t muddy the new pants Kennely had gotten him for this trip. “Will you walk the purple path with me forever?” And she said yes.
