Like most love stories, it started with a girl and a glance across the room. After over a year of being acquainted over cups of coffee at their Church's Young Adult gathering, these two found themselves attending the same Small Group in which God began to highlight them to one another. On one fateful evening during a Friendsgiving Event, the young, bashful Joshua warmed up the lovely Rachel by offering to give a large bowl of his homemade Oreo Pudding. Once she accepted his offer, he knew this was the time to ask Rachel out on a date. Going into their first date, there were a lot of unknowns, many questions, and simply not knowing what to expect. Joshua picked up Rachel in his chariot arriving with a full bouquet of flowers, a gentleman's charm and high hopes - - He had after all sought the help of 3 of his closest friends (and his mom LOL) on what to wear, and recommendations for a very special night. He arrived promptly at 630, dressed nicely, flowers in hand in a freshly detailed car. Little did Rachel know that tonight would be her last, first date. Their evening began at dinner where the began to connect over their stories and experiences. When greeted by their server, she had unknowingly prophesied that "there was something special here". Dinner then turned into chatting over coffee, and then into a third destination over drinks and an epic game of basketball. To top the night, it was a joy ride under the stars singing to the likes of Sam Cooke, The Temptations, Usher and many others. Time slipped away effortlessly and they both knew something special was happening. As time continued, the two developed a special bond. They got to know each other deeply where the past and present met with many laughs and tears, but all in the tender care of love and grace.
