If you're willing to make a trip into the mountains... we LOVE the Melly store. Any of our close family or friends will tell you that. You do need to make a reservation months in advance to have access to the full selection of sweaters made in Leadville, BUT they have a section where they put some out for first-grabs, no reservation needed. All materials are sourced in the USA and handmade in CO with love.
We love hiking!! Our favorites are: Bear, Nymph, Dream, & Emerald Lakes (RMNP, 4 miles, ~1.75 hours from Westminster) Red Rocks Trading Post Trail (Red Rocks, 1.5 miles, ~25 minutes from Westminster) Crater Lakes Trail via South Boulder Creek Trailhead (James Peak Wilderness, 5 miles, ~1.25 hours from Westminster) Chautauqua Park (multiple hikes, in Boulder, ~35 minutes from Westminster)
Denver (where we live, so we're a little biased...): Vine Street Pub & Brewery (casual, American) Som Dee Thai Kitchen & Bar (casual-upscale, modern Thai) City o' City (casual, vegetarian American) Linger (casual, mixed cuisine) La Dona Mezcaleria (Mexican) Dave's Hot Chicken (fast casual, walk-up, American) - There's one in Westminster, too! Cart Driver (casual-upscale, Southern-Italian Pizza & oysters) El Five (definitely need reservations in advance, upscale Spanish Tapas on a rooftop in LoHi) Westminster/Louisville: Busaba (casual, Thai) Lulu's BBQ (casual, BBQ) Rocky Mountain Tap & Garden (casual, American) Lucky Pie (casual, Pizza) Or, travel to Boulder for some other great places! Pearl Street is walkable and you can't really go wrong with anything there. The Sink is a great spot near the university.
Snooze A.M. - in Westminster, CO walkable from venue/hotels (a Colorado classic, found in any major city in the state). Moxie Bread Co. - in Louisville, CO (coffee, homemade breads & pastries, easy lunch). The Huckleberry - in Louisville, CO (our highest recommendation). Loco Hermanos - in Louisville, CO (tasty grab & go breakfast burritos). Pete's Kitchen - in Denver, CO (Megan and Matt's favorite grubby diner - and one of the longest-standing in the city!). Root Down - in Denver, CO (a little more upscale/pricey but definitely worth it!)
