Wild Basin is roughly 1.5-2 hours from Denver. The drive is beautiful, but it’s a real mountain drive (winding roads + slower speeds), so please give yourself extra time getting up there.
A quick altitude note: the elevation is no joke. Allenspark is about 8,200 ft, and Wild Basin Lodge is about ~8,500 ft. Whether you’re coming from out of town or you live in Colorado, do yourself a favor and hydrate like it’s your job!
