Nathan and Kendra met back in August of 2021. On their first date, they went to Pisces in Charlotte, NC. Kendra loved sushi, and after learning that Nathan picked the perfect place. At the time, Kendra was living in Albemarle, NC and Nathan was already living in Charlotte. Kendra and Nathan were friends for about 3 months before Nathan finally asked her to be his girlfriend. In December of 2021, Kendra accepted a teaching position at a school in Concord, NC. She actually told him about this amazing news when they had returned from New York, which was their first vacation together. This was great considering the school was only 15 minutes from Nathan's apartment. After some consideration, Kendra decided to move to Charlotte, NC to be closer to her new school. She enjoyed being closer to her job, but she loved being closer to Nathan even more. The two of them spent the best times together laughing, exploring, and creating the sweetest bond. Nathan and Kendra had no idea that this bond would lead them to the greatest love story that they now get to share with all of you.

Nathan planned a summer trip for Kendra which included a cruise and a 5-day stay on a resort in the Bahamas. This was Nathan's first time on a cruise ship. While on vacation, they enjoyed many activities together which included a sunset cruise in the Bahamas, Snorkeling in the Coral Reefs, and exploring the island together. Without knowing, Nathan planned a couples photoshoot for the two of them. It didn’t register to Kendra at first since they have been wanting to get some professional photos done that summer before the trip. As they were taking pictures and enjoying themselves, the photographer asked Kendra to turn around and face the other direction. Kendra had no idea that her life was about to change forever. Once Nathan was ready, the photographer started counting down from 3. When Kendra turned around she saw the love of her life down on one knee. With tears of joy in her eyes, he asked her to be his wife. Immediately she noticed that he had bought her the exact ring she had pointed out to him on one of their dates. This was the easiest " Yes " of her life. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you all.
