As told from Kendra’s perspective. ~ I had been using dating apps and hadn’t had much luck. I kept encountering guys that wanted to text with two-word messages like “hey, sup”. However, as soon as I received a message from Mike, he stood out. It wasn’t the typical messages I was used to; instead his first message to me was “do you like spicy margaritas?” Needless to say I was intrigued. Within a few minutes, we had our first date booked for the following weekend. When the date came, I showed up wearing a bright red top. After a couple of spicy margaritas and getting to know each other, Mike walked me to my car and gave me a kiss goodbye. The next weekend, we had another date booked. Dinner and drinks in Back Bay. I remember this date being the point when I determined that I really liked Mike. I remember him and I talking a lot about our families and realizing how easy he was to talk to. As told from Mike’s perspective. ~ I woke up at 6 AM on a Saturday to get ready for a work event. It was a 5K race for Colon Cancer awareness. I was excited and nervous knowing I had an eventful day ahead. Kendra joined to cheer me on during the race. After the race, we headed home to get ready for our weekend stay in Boston. During that time I was starting to get nervous. I had been texting the photographer logistics on where we were going to meet. On our ride to Boston, I was quiet. A million questions popped in my head. Will I be able to find the photographer? Will the sun still be up? Will she like the ring? I hope it doesn't rain. We got to the hotel and I was in a rush. I quickly got dressed for dinner and asked her to get ready. It was only 4:30pm and we had dinner at 8. I didnt want to make her suspicious so we went to the hotel bar for a drink. I was texting the photographer, he was on his way. He then told me he found a spot on the Seaport harbor near Davios. I quickly chugged my drink and asked Kendra if she wanted to go for a walk. We walked quickly to the harbor. During that time I kept wondering what Kendra was thinking. She did wonder why we were in such a rush. We got to the harbor and I found the photographer. After that, it was all a blur. She said yes! Then we celebrated over spicy margaritas back at our first date spot. This was the best day ever!
