Their love story all started in the summer of 2020, right when the world was finally opening back up again. One night at Ice House, while hanging out with friends, Kendra spotted Evan, her friend Emma’s brother sitting at the bar. Sitting next to him was Cam, Evan’s best friend, and that’s how their paths first crossed. She immediately thought he was cute and of course, told her friends, who told his friends. Before long, the word got around and Kendra got several friend requests from Cam’s softball teammates on Instagram before they even met. The following weekend, fate (and a little good timing) brought them both to Top Shelf. Cam worked up the courage to go talk to Kendra, and they ended up exchanging numbers that night. From the start, there was just an instant connection. Cam remembers being struck by how kind, fun, and genuine Kendra was, and she felt that same warmth and authenticity right back. At the time, Kendra was just starting X-ray school and wasn’t sure she could juggle it all while opening up to a new relationship. But Cam’s persistence, thoughtful gestures, and loyalty made her realize what they had was worth it. On his end, Cam admired how driven and independent Kendra was. He knew he wanted to be there for her and build something real together. Their first date was at a breakfast spot, one of Kendra’s favorite things to do. Cam, on the other hand, rarely eats breakfast, but he didn’t care. From there, he found himself doing a lot of things he hadn’t done before meeting Kendra. They took several trips together, including Cam’s first ever flight to Cancun with Kendra. They clicked with one another’s families right away, and to make things even sweeter, they already shared the same last name. If that’s not fate, they’re not sure what is. Over the years, they’ve found the perfect balance. Cam’s laid back, go with the flow vibe pairs perfectly with Kendra’s structured, detail oriented side. They bring out the best in each other and can’t wait to finally say “I do” and start the next chapter of their story together.
