When people ask how we met, we laugh because we played on the same elementary soccer team but never knew it. One day, after years together, we were looking through old photos at Amy’s house. As we smiled and laughed at her childhood photos, we came across a soccer team photo. We scanned the faces and suddenly found little Kendall. And next to her, standing two inches taller, was little Amy. We laughed so hard and still can’t believe we had no clue little Kendall and Amy knew each other. The truth is, we lived very similar paths before our adventure began. We both grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our moms were public school teachers, and our dads were avid runners in the local community. We both had one older sister, ironically who were in the same graduating class. We had artistic grandparents who loved to paint, parents who loved playing music and writing, and small extended families that lived in neighboring states. We were athletic kids. Amy was the competitive cheerleader; Kendall was the tomboy that played every sport before committing to soccer. We were both Central High Tigers. Though, the one year difference (Amy’s a cougar) and large class sizes meant we were only acquaintances until the final years of high school. We both became Arkansas Razorbacks (woo pig), where we became best friends and shared a mutual set of incredible lifelong friends. After four years of college friendship, we began our amazing adventure together. Now, eight years later, after bouncing from AR to GA to OH to RI and enduring a four-year long distance engagement, we are finally going to have that double wife, double doctor life! We are so excited about our future and can't wait to share this celebration with everyone who has loved and supported us along the way! - K & A
