FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 30th! We want to make sure everyone is accounted for so don't wait until the last minute.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 11am so please do not be that person who walks in late! Plan to arrive a little early, grab a drink, soak in the views and get settled. Trust us, the view is worth it!

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Garden party cocktail attire! Think florals, light fabrics and bright colors. We want you to look and feel your best but also be comfortable. A heads up: the ceremony will be outdoors in August with no shade so dress accordingly and maybe skip the heavy fabrics. If you are unsure, just ask yourself "would I wear this to a gorgeous outdoor summer wedding?" and go from there!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, we really do. But this one is for the adults (unless specifically noted on your invitation)! Please leave the kiddos at home for the ceremony and reception. That said, kids are totally welcome at the beach day! Just give us a heads up when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a plus one or extra guests?

Answer

Please only RSVP for the names listed on your invitation. We have carefully planned our guest list and appreciate your understanding on this one!

Question

How should I get around?

Answer

Uber and Lyft are your best friends this weekend! That said, if you prefer a little more flexibility feel free to rent a car. Just keep in mind that parking near the beach can be tricky on weekends.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception at La Venta Inn, yes! Parking is available on site. For the beach day and happy hour at Vista, parking is limited so we recommend using Uber or Lyft to save yourself the headache of circling for a spot.

Question

What should I do with my free time on Friday?

Answer

So glad you asked! Redondo Beach and the surrounding area has plenty to keep you busy: Walk or bike the Strand along the beach Explore the Redondo Beach Pier for food and drinks Visit Manhattan Beach or Hermosa Beach (yes, where it all started!) Check out the shops and restaurants in El Porto or downtown Manhattan Beach Grab coffee and explore Riviera Village in Redondo Head to Santa Monica for the pier, shopping and Palisades Park (another special spot for us!)

Question

What should I wear to happy hour at Vista?

Answer

Wear white! In honor of the very first date that started it all, we are heading back to where the magic happened. Think cute and casual. Linen shirts, jeans, sundresses, nice tops. Just one very important reminder: bring a jacket! It gets cold once that sun goes down and we will be on the pier.

Question

What happens after happy hour?

Answer

The night is young! For those who want to keep the party going, we will be heading to a nearby bar for dancing and drinks. Somewhere with a DJ who won't mind when Laura takes over the aux for Taylor Swift. Location TBD so stay tuned!

Question

Do I need to bring a towel or chair to the beach day?

Answer

If you are local, yes please bring your own towel and chairs! We will have some extra towels and chairs on hand but not enough for everyone so plan accordingly.

Question

Will there be food at the beach day?

Answer

Yes! We've got you covered. Food and drinks will be provided so just show up, relax and enjoy the good company.
