We can’t wait to celebrate our love in Cartagena, Colombia — a city filled with history, color, and charm. The wedding will take place on June 6, 2026, at the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara, nestled within Cartagena’s beautiful walled city.
The attire for our wedding is black tie optional. Gentlemen, suits or tuxedos are welcome. Ladies, we invite you to choose an elegant gown or dress — colors are best for Cartagena’s vibrant, tropical evenings.
We adore your little ones and they will most definitely be invited to come celebrate with us! It's your call but most likely not recommended after 9 pm as the party will be in full effect.
While we will not have on-site childcare during the reception, Cartagena offers trusted local babysitting and nanny services for families traveling with little ones. We're happy to share recommendations or help connect you with providers upon request- just let us know in advance and we can assist.
Please plan to arrive at Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG), conveniently located just 10–15 minutes from the historic center.
Guests traveling from the United States and most countries in the Americas and Europe do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. A valid passport with at least six months before expiration is required.
Taxis and private car services are easily available at the airport. Many hotels within the walled city also offer transfer arrangements — please check with your accommodations directly.
We’ve reserved special rates at the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara, where much of the weekend will take place. Guests are also welcome to stay in nearby boutique hotels within Cartagena’s walled city as well.
Booking details can be found under the “Travel” section of our website. We recommend reserving early, as June is a popular time to visit Cartagena.
We suggest arriving by Thursday, June 4th, to settle in, explore the city, and enjoy the pre-wedding festivities with us.
Cartagena’s June weather is warm and tropical, with sunshine and soft coastal breezes. Daytime temperatures average in the mid-80s°F, and evenings are comfortably balmy.
Light, breathable fabrics are ideal. Don’t forget sunscreen, comfortable sandals for exploring, and your favorite beachwear for a dip in the pool or in the Caribbean Sea.
Yes — Cartagena is one of Colombia’s most beloved and visited destinations. Its people are warm and welcoming, and the city’s historic charm makes it a joy to explore.
Spanish is the official language, though many locals in hotels and restaurants speak English. A simple “hola” or “gracias” will always be met with a smile.
Stroll through the colorful streets of the Old City, sail to the Rosario Islands, or toast at sunset on a rooftop overlooking the Caribbean. We’ve shared some of our favorite local experiences in the “Things to Do” section.
