Fifteen years ago, fate brought us together at the University of Connecticut. We met as two wide-eyed students who thought we were just attending the first day of a new year, but instead signed up for a lifetime. From late-night study sessions to cheering at Husky games, our friendship quickly turned into something more. Somewhere between pizza runs, endless walks across campus, and way too many textbooks, we realized we weren’t just writing term papers—we were writing the first chapter of our forever. Over the years, we’ve grown together, celebrated each other’s wins, and laughed through the bloopers of everyday life (because let’s be honest, 15 years together means a LOT of bloopers). Through achievements, new jobs, adventures, and countless shared playlists, one thing has always been true: we were each other’s favorite person to come home to. And now, after 15 years of dating (yes 15)—and plenty of “so, when’s the wedding?” questions—we’re finally saying I do.
