Big Sur
Big Sur is a beautiful stretch of coastline in central California! Take a car down the 1 and stop along the way to enjoy the state parks, hiking, and beaches. The entrance at Point Lobos is just a 15 minute drive from downtown Carmel
Carmel-by-the-Sea Restaurants & Bars
The town is full of great restaurants and bars. Below are a few of our favorites! Book reservations in advance if you can because things can fill up in the summer months. - La Bicyclette: Cozy French & Italian dishes; brick-oven pizzas and yummy pasta! - Alvarado Street Brewery: Delicious brews - get whatever rotating Hazy IPA is on-tap, you won't be disappointed! It's one of our favorite local breweries. - Carmel Coffee House and Roasting Company - Barmel: fun late night cocktails and live music spot - AW Shucks Cocktail & Oyster Bar: good cocktails and is open late - Il Tegamino: Italian - Stationæry: Awesome brunch spot right in town - Albatross Ridge Tasting Room: get the rosé! Perfect and light. - Carmel Bakery: great baked goods and sweets in the middle of Carmel by the Sea. - Seventh and Dolores: Steakhouse with great cocktails
Monterey Bay Aquarium
No visit would be complete without a visit to the aquarium! It's one of the best in the country and only 15 min from Carmel-by-the-Sea

17 Mile Drive
The 17-Mile Drive is a scenic road located in Pebble Beach that winds through the Del Monte Forest and along the Pacific coastline. The drive takes about two hours to complete and there are several points of interest along the way, including the Lone Cypress Tree, Spanish Bay, and the Pacific Grove Gate.
Carmel Beach
Carmel Beach is located in town and walkable from anywhere in Carmel by the Sea. It is also dog friendly!
