The Wedding Website of Kelsie McDowell and Ryan Isono
Question

Where should we stay? Carmel Valley or Carmel-by-the-Sea?

Answer

If you’d like to be closer to the venue and proximity to our events is most important for you, we recommend finding a hotel in Carmel Valley because that is where Holman Ranch is located. Otherwise, and especially if it’s your first time to the area, we’d recommend staying in town in Carmel-by-the-Sea as it’s super walkable and close to many things to do- including the ocean and beach!

Question

How far is the wedding venue from Carmel-by-the Sea?

Answer

Holman Ranch is ~20 minute drive from downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the venue?

Answer

Shuttles are available for transportation to/from Holman to Carmel-by-the-Sea and Carmel Valley. It is the safest and most reliable option for reaching our venue. Please refer to the schedule below: Pre-Ceremony: 3:00 pm: Carmel-By-The-Sea Plaza (departure at 3:10 pm) Address: Junipero at Ocean, Carmel-by-the-Sea 3:30 pm: Carmel Valley Lodge (departure by 3:40 pm at the latest) Address: 8 Ford Rd, Carmel Valley, CA 93924-9511 3:45 pm: Drop off at Holman Ranch Address: 16 W Carmel Valley Rd Post-Wedding: 10:00 pm: Pick up at Holman 10:30 pm: Drop off at Running Iron (after party spot; stay on the bus if you wish to go home) 10:35 pm: Drop off at Carmel Valley Lodge 11:00 pm: Drop off at Carmel-By-The-Sea Plaza Late Night (After Party): 12:00-1:00 am: Departures from Running Iron with drop off available upon request 2:00 am: Last departure from Running Iron 2:10 am: Drop off at Holman 2:15 am: Drop off at Carmel Valley Lodge 2:45 am: Drop off at Carmel-By-The-Sea Plaza

Question

Can we drive to the venue and will there be parking?

Answer

Yes and yes. We'd prefer for people to take the group shuttle transportation that we've arranged so that you don't need to worry about driving, but there will be parking on-site for anyone who prefers to drive themselves.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

You can find more info here: https://www.brides.com/black-tie-optional-wedding-attire-4800698 For the Welcome Event, the dress code is summer cocktail attire. Question

Are children invited?

Answer

In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation, we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We ask our guests to please not bring a plus one unless they are specifically named on the formal invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
