Our Story

Kelsie and Ron met during their senior year of college at the University of Florida in 2017. After several evenings of running into each other at the Salty Dog Saloon, Ron asked Kelsie out to dinner. They quickly bonded over their love of music, a good psychological thriller, the ocean, and delicious food. Kelsie and Ron fell for each other instantly. So much so, that they decided to drive over 4-hours roundtrip to a concert on just their second date. From there, they were inseparable – they studied together at Hough Hall, spent the weekends either at the beach or farmers markets, met each other’s families, and dreamt about what their future would hold. It was apparent to Kelsie, Ron, and everyone close to them, that this was the beginning of something special. Following graduation, Ron moved to Charlotte, while Kelsie spent one more year in Gainesville. While being apart was difficult, distance made the heart grow even fonder; so when Ron decided to move to San Francisco, Kelsie packed her bags and joined him. They moved into a 400 square-foot apartment on the Mason Cable Car line in San Francisco almost 3,000 miles from home. While they enjoyed many of the perks of living on the West-coast, like wine tasting in Napa Valley, skiing in lake Lake Tahoe, and the great food and culture SF had to offer, they both quickly realized they were East-coasters at heart. At the beginning of COVID, they moved back across the Mississippi to Boston, Massachusetts. They spent two special years in a brownstone in the South End, traveling to the Cape, cheering on the Red Sox, and trying to keep each other warm in the infamous Boston winters. A year into living in Boston, Gus joined their family and brought a new level of joy and love into their relationship. A few months after moving back to Florida in 2022, Kelsie and Ron took a trip to the Pacific Northwest, and on a hike at Mount Rainier National Park, Ron asked Kelsie to spend the rest of her life with him– she said "yes"! From seniors in college to young adults, so much has changed but Kelsie and Ron have continued to grow stronger every year. They cannot wait to celebrate their marriage in March 2024 surrounded by the people they love the most!
