IMPORTANT INFO: The ceremony will be on Mackinac Island, however, the reception will be in Mackinaw City (not on the island). Please make sure your room reservations are in Mackinaw City (see below for recommendations). We understand that traveling to Mackinac Island is much different than your typical travel arrangements, so we have put together a bunch of information to hopefully make things easy for you!

Flight

Pellston Regional Airport (PLN)

Delta flies into Pellston Regional Airport (PLN). This is the closest airport to Mackinaw City (approximately 20 minutes away). If you choose to rent a car, Budget and Avis are located at the airport. There is also a shuttle you can book that will bring you from the airport to your hotel in Mackinaw City.

Traverse City (TVC)

Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) in Traverse City is a larger airport that has more airline options (American, Allegiant, Delta, and United), but this airport is about a 2 hour drive from Mackinaw City.

Shepler's Ferry

Wedding Group Code: 25junewed Shepler's has a dock in both Mackinaw City and St. Ignace. In the summer months it gets busy, but typically St. Ignace isn't as busy as Mackinaw City. Please plan on getting to the ferry early in case you need to wait for the next one!

Mackinac Island Transportation

There are no cars on the island; bicycles and walking are the most common forms of transportation. This may not be the best option when you're all dressed up (approx. 0.7 miles from the ferry to the ceremony). Mackinac Island Carriage Tours offers a taxi service that can transport you from the ferry dock to the ceremony with a horse drawn carriage if you choose (linked below). Please make a reservation for your taxi ahead of time if you're interested as you cannot "hail" a taxi on the island.
