As loyal executive card-carrying members, Kelsie and Jameel both happened to be shopping at Costco on a Saturday afternoon when their hands grazed the same sample. Eyes met, sparks flew, and they each knew they had scored more than just a sweet bite of Costco Focaccia bread that day. [[[[Record Scratch]]]] We met on Bumble. Kelsie was about to retire from the apps, and Jameel was equally getting over it when a swipe to the right changed both of their romantic trajectories. Kelsie hit Jameel with an audio message right out of the gate, testing to see if he was the type with enough courage to respond with an audio message back versus a simple "haha.... so, what kind of hobbies are you into?" Jameel was at his hometown bar with Tony and sent an audio message back that had Kelsie hooked! They bonded through a shared passion for hosting parties and events, dancing at music festivals, marathoning Love is Blind, attending SF Giants games, and adhering to a strict carry-on-only bag traveling policy. Jameel met his match with Kelsie's fierce 8 lb poodle mix dog, Izzie, and Kelsie passed the Madanat family dinner party test (hint: it's having more than one plate of tabbouleh). Love and true partnership blossomed! Over the past 2.5 years, there have been countless adventures, including navigating getting a moving van stolen, a full-on Axelrod/Byers multi-week holiday in Kansas, building a community in the Bay Area, and incredible support from both the Axelrod and Madanat families. Kelsie and Jameel moved in together in January of 2024, got engaged in July, and can't wait for what's next! We can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
