We are not planning on doing a formal hotel block, but have several lodging suggestions for the area. Maidenwood (the wedding venue) is on the Wisconsin side of Lake Pepin (where the Mississippi River widens). There are several cute towns around the lake with boutique hotels, Airbnbs, or traditional motels to look at depending on what you are looking for in lodging. The largest town nearby is Red Wing (~30 min) which has several hotels and Minneapolis/St. Paul is ~1.5 hours away. We will be staying at the YMCA camp nearby (see below for more details).

Flight

Minneapolis - Saint Paul International Airport (MSP)

MSP is the closest airport and is about a 1hr 15 min drive from our venue. Rochester's airport is about 1hr 20 min away, but many airlines fly through MSP to get to Rochester.

We rented The Lodge at YMCA Camp Pepin for wedding party and immediate family. Doug (Kelsie's Dad) also rented the 18-bed JJ Saul Cabin the week before the wedding as a home-base for cycling adventures. There are several other summer-camp style cabins available for rent if anyone is interested.

There are several homes or rooms to rent in the Lake Pepin area if you are looking to find something riverside or up in the bluffs on the Wisconsin or Minnesota side of the river.

This is a historic hotel in Red Wing which is ~30 min from the wedding venue. I am not sure what their availability will be like for rooms (as they also serve as a wedding venue), but highly recommended their rooftop restaurant overlooking the river!
