Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, we will have trolleys running before and after the event. Trolley Schedule: Running from 4pm-12am between downtown Newport and Castle Hill. Trolley 1: 4PM Departure from Marshall Slocum Inn - 29 Kay St. 430PM Departure from Hiberian Hall - 2 Wellington Ave. to Castle Hill Trolley 2: 415PM Departure from Newport Marriott - 25 America's Cup Ave. to Castle Hill Trolley 3: 4 PM Pickup Departure from Perrotti Park - 39 America's Cup Ave., Continue to "handle corner" next to Red Parrot (at the corner of Thames St. and America's Cup) 415PM Departure from Red Parrot corner to Castle Hill Returns to Newport starting at 10pm Dropoffs will be Hibernian Hall, Red Parrot Marshall Slocum Inn, and Newport Marriott.

How bad will the traffic be in Newport on 4th of July?

It will be busy. If you are staying downtown and plan on ubering or driving we recommend giving yourself 30 minutes to get to Castle Hill Inn.

What is "Oceanside Cocktail Attire"?

Answer

For Women: Dresses: Long dresses, midi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits are excellent choices. Consider flowy silhouettes that move gracefully in the ocean breeze. Footwear: Wedges, dressy sandals, or block heels are ideal. Avoid stilettos, which can sink into grass or sand. Accessories: Light, elegant jewelry, and perhaps a stylish hat or wrap for cooler evenings. For Men: Suits: A lightweight suit in a light color (e.g., light gray, blue, or tan) is appropriate. Slacks and a blazer work too! Ties: Optional.

What is the RSVP deadline?

May 1st! Please make sure to book accommodations by the date you RSVP. It will be a difficult to find affordable places to stay as we get closer to the summer.

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

5PM. There are 3 bars on the water to enjoy beforehand :).
