This is where Phil popped the question!! We have both lived on The Plaza the last 5 years and it holds a very special place in our hearts. It is known for great shopping & restaurants. We recommend Gram & Dunn, Rye, True Food Kitchen, The Granfalloon, and O'Dowds.

Westport is a great spot for those interested in some day drinking. Some spots we love are Char Bar, Alehouse, Kelly's (this is a go to for Iowa State fans), Harrys, and the list goes on. You really can't go wrong with any of the bars!
The National WWI Museum is located just south of downtown on your way to the Plaza. There is a great tour full of history and you can take an elevator ride to the top of the tower for spectacular views of the city!

This is Kansas City's largest local brewery. They have some pretty awesome brews. Our favorites are Tank 7, KC Pils, and of course the classic Boulevard Wheat. They offer tours and have a fun bar upstairs with board games and a nice terrace.

The West Bottoms has a bunch of great antique shops! It is full of charm and there are some great bars in that area as well.
Tom’s Town is both distillery and tasting room, a perfect combination that can be found right in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District. They have award-winning vodka and gin as well as amazing whiskey drinks in an old school atmosphere.
The Nelson is a great spot for those who appreciate the arts! Whether you go in for a tour or just visit the grounds, you'll be impressed.
