Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kelsey Peterson and Thomas Whiting
There is so much to do in Minnesota. We wanted to list everything, but you'd have to just come stay with us to experience all of that. Instead, we recommend a few of our favorite things to do and favorite places to go. Bring your cameras, walking boots, bikes, and fishin poles!

Hyland Lake Park Reserve - Recreation Area

10145 East Bush Lake Road, Bloomington, MN 55438
, (763) 694-7687

For walking, biking, nature observing, and general out door fun. This is one of our favorite places and is within 2 miles of our house! These are well maintained paved trails.

Minnesota Valley NWR - Bloomington Ferry Unit

Bloomington, MN 55438

This is how to access a hiking trail that follows the Minnesota river. If you're looking for a riverside hike, a unique fishing spot, or a nice off road biking track, this is a versatile trail head. If you go here, you should invite Thomas and Kelsey.

Staring Lake Park DGC

14800 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN 55347
, (952) 949-8300

For those who want to Disc in Eden Prairie, this is a 9 hole course and is pretty fun! Staring lake park is also cute and very walkable! This is 10 mins from the wedding - so you're bound to be near it if you stay in Eden Prairie. Our other favorite courses nearby: Bassett Creek DGC in Crystal, and Highland DGC in St Paul.

Stone Arch Bridge

100 Portland Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

This is in Minneapolis - so it will be about 20 mins from Eden Prairie. This is where we had our first date, spent countless hours biking, and where we got engaged. Needless to say. We love this bridge.

Uptown

Minneapolis, MN

Uptown is not a single location, but a collection of restaurants, bars, and groovy hangouts along a lake. If you're looking for some city-fun, we often go here. (Downtown Minneapolis is also a great time!)

Any of the 10,000 lakes

Soak October in by visiting any of the 10,000 lakes. There are excellent walking and biking trails of various difficulties and lengths anywhere you stay in Minnesota. Our favorites are a little far away - but if you're around to stay a while, go see Mille lacs lake, or head up to Duluth and behold Lady Superior.

For all the days along the way
