How should I pack?

Fall in Homer, Alaska (September–October) features rapidly cooling temperatures, shifting from mild, wet weather in early September to colder, brisk conditions with potential snow by late October. September temperatures often peak in the 50s°F (10-15°C) before dropping, with frequent rain and windy conditions, requiring waterproof gear for outdoor activities like wildlife viewing and hiking Pack layers, including waterproof jackets, rain pants, sturdy boots, and hats/gloves, as the weather is unpredictable. In general, we recommend outfits one would wear in the fall. Sweatshirts, leggings, jeans.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The wedding and reception will be outside overlooking the Kachemak Bay. It can get windy on the bluff but the reception will be in a heated Event tent on grass (heads up for heels ). Come dressed in semi-formal attire, we want you to be comfortable too!
