A great dog-friendly beach on the big lake! Perfect for laying out, swimming, fetching with pups, etc.
Eagle Lake Hike
A beautiful short 2 mile hike to this lake in Desolation Wilderness. Parking at the trailhead can be a bit crowded on weekends but it is a great little hike. If parking lot is too crowded, you can try the nearby Vikingsholm Castle hike nearby which is about the same distance roundtrip.
Mount Tallac Hike
A nice steep one for anyone wanting to experience the views from atop Mt Tallac!! A pretty sweet 9.5 mile round trip hike up to the peak
Camp Richardson's Ice Cream Parlor
The best ice cream in South Lake Tahoe... but you better invite us too if you go!
Sprouts Café
A great place for sandwiches, salads, etc. and a quick walk to the lake where you could sit and eat near the water. (photo at top of page is from Sprouts)
