Flight Options & Tips

To save on flight costs, we recommend booking a red-eye flight from your nearest international airport to Montego Bay on one of these options: Option 1: Fly out on the evening of Tuesday, May 13th and arrive in Jamaica early on Wednesday, May 14th. Option 2: Fly out on the evening of Wednesday, May 14th, and arrive in Jamaica early on Thursday, May 15th This will give you 1-2 days to relax, enjoy some local activities, and be ready for the Welcome Party on Friday, May 16th at 6:30PM, followed by the Wedding on Saturday, May 17th at 5:30PM Anticipate a 1.5 hour drive from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios via Shuttle, Taxi, or Private Driver service. If you are staying at an Airbnb, your host should be able to recommend a preferred driver. If you are staying at a hotel, please reach out your hotel concierge before your trip to coordinate shuttle service into Ocho Rios.

OCJ - Ian Fleming International Airport (Ocho Rios)

$$$ Ian Fleming International Airport is a newly constructed small airport, and the closest airport geographically to Ocho Rios, making it incredibly convenient. However, please note that the flights that land here are the most expensive. A great cost-effective alternative airport is Montego Bay Airport. See details below.

MBJ - Sangster International Airport (Montego Bay)

$$ Montego Bay Airport is the second closest airport to Ocho Rios and is located approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes away. There are many daily flights between the US and Montego Bay airport, making it a more affordable option. Hotels often offer pickup shuttles from Montego Bay airport, and AirBnb hosts can recommend local drivers!

KIN - Norman Manley International Airport (Kingston)

$$ Kingston Airport is another popular option - located about 1 hour 30 minutes from Ocho Rios via the newly constructed toll road. Flights that land here are slightly more expensive than Montego Bay, and shuttle services may charge more due to the toll road fees.

$$ If you're looking for flexibility and variety, AirBnb is what we recommend! Here are some tips as you search for your perfect place: For a more populated area that's walkable to attractions and restaurants, search the map near Ocho Rios Bay Beach (a.k.a. "Turtle Beach"). This is also home to the cruise ship port, so it is a more tourist-populated area. If you are looking for a secluded, quiet vacation, search near "Tower Isle." This is where our wedding venue is located, and is only about a 10 to 15-minute drive from the attractions and amenities near the cruise ship port. Some condo communities that have beautiful ocean views are "Columbus Heights," "Marazul Condos,” “The Waves," and "Whispering Seas," These are just a few of the many options available! AirBnb also has a lot of beachside villas that offer more space for groups, private pools, shuttle services, etc.
