We met through an online dating app. Kyle messaged me first asking me four questions to break the ice: 1. The Beatles or The Who? 2. Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones? 3. Pizza or tacos? 4. If I was a secret agent, what would be my code name? With the first message going as such, I knew he was worth exploring more. Even though I answered all the questions the opposite of what he would have chosen (The Beatles, The Lord of the Rings, & pizza), we still felt an instant connection!

After a few weeks of texting, we set up our first date! We met for the first time at the Redcoat Tavern in Royal Oak. I'm pretty sure I was shaking the entire time but we both felt a spark and a connection. The rest was history!

At Zion National Park, we went hiking throughout the day. Towards the evening, Kyle stated he wanted to get a sunset picture from a popular viewpoint overlooking Zion Canyon. We hiked up a strenuous trail to the top overlooking the canyon. I was resting when Kyle stated he wanted to go explore around this large rock that was away from the crowds. I turned around to watch my step as I was preparing to take a picture of us both with the canyon in the background. I turned back around and Kyle was on one knee and asked me to marry him. With complete shock, I said yes!
