While Kevin & Kelsey’s story started like most modern love stories (on Hinge), they faced some interesting challenges from the start. They matched in January of 2021- during the Coronavirus pandemic and in the wake of the J6 riot. At that time, the only way to meet in person was outside and between the hours of 5:00-9:00pm (due to the military curfew). Over the course of their first text conversation, Kevin was immediately taken by Kelsey’s sense of humor and asked her out for drinks. Despite Kelsey’s extreme aversion to the cold, she agreed to meet Kevin for hot cocktails on Red Bear Brewing’s patio in early February for a first date. They bonded over a deep love of music, their favorite places in DC, and playful banter over the best basketball team in the Big East (Go Friars). At the end of the night, they agreed to meet up again the next week. Kevin knew that she was a keeper, though, when she organized their 3rd date at her favorite dive bar-complete with an indoor school bus. After several more dates, and pairs of warm socks for Kelsey, Kevin officially asked Kelsey to be his girlfriend after dinner at a sushi restaurant (a stunning development for anyone who’s known Kevin for more than a few years). Since then, Kevin and Kelsey have taken on every challenge they’ve faced side by side. They moved in together in 2022 and began to build a life together, supported by loving families and a great set of friends. They’ve travelled the world together, supported each other through crazy work experiences, and begun to rub off on each other. Kevin is responsible for Kelsey’s growing record collection and Kelsey has opened Kevin’s eyes to the wonder of skin care. Kevin proposed to Kelsey in October of 2024 on the campus of her high school alma mater, THE Madeira School, overlooking the Great Falls National Park. Later that day, they were blessed to be surrounded by friends and family who came together to celebrate them. They are so excited to celebrate their marriage with all of you in a place they’ve created many memories together. We’ll see you soon!
