For the health and safety of each of our guests, we ask that everyone in attendance be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by our wedding day. We encourage our wedding guests to test for COVID before gathering for wedding events for everyone's peace of mind. If you are unable to physically join us, our ceremony will be streamed live beginning at 5:00 pm CT through the following link: https://livestream.com/idlewild. For the ceremony, we ask that our guests wear masks at Idlewild Presbyterian Church. The sanctuary is very spacious, so there will be a lot of room to distance. All other wedding events are outside, including the reception at the Brooks Museum of Art.
We got married last fall in front of our parents, our pastor and our sweet flower girl and angel, Meg (pictured above). But we don't consider our wedding complete until we can recite our vows and celebrate with our closest friends and family on our one-year anniversary, which will be September 25, 2021. As we have said many times over the past year, "you only get married TWICE". Well at least in COVID times!
Yes, there will be plenty of parking at Idlewild Presbyterian Church and the Brooks Museum of Art. Shuttle transportation will be provided for all hotel guests at the Hyatt Centric. Please wear a mask on the shuttles for everyone's safety.
In order to stay under our venue restrictions due to COVID-19, we are not able to grant every guest a Plus One. Unless your invitation reads “and Guest,” we would prefer that you come solo. We tried to include all spouses, partners, and long-term significant others in our guest list.
We love kids, but we want this to be your night off. Grab a babysitter for your children, and enjoy a kid-free evening!
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.
