This was one of our first dates, and was the first zoo Jon has ever been to. Safe to say it ruined all other zoos for him forever.
The zoo is located within Balboa park, but we recommend spending an extra day in the park and checking out all the museums and gardens available.
This is a great place to set up a blanket and watch the sunset.

This is the best area for Asian food! Some our favorite spots are Tasty Noodle House, Somi Somi, and Up2You Cafe
If you want to shop while in town, this is our favorite place to do so.
This is just one taco shop recommendation, but there are tons in San Diego. We really recommend eating as much Mexican food as possible when here lol. In addition to tacos you should also try local favorites like California burritos and carne asada fries.
AMAZING brunch location
This is a great place to get some interesting cocktails, Swan Bar next door is also great.
This is a local chain with locations all throughout the county if you are in need of some caffeine! There are tons of smaller mom and pop shops around that we recommend checking out as well, but you will likely be able to find a Better Buzz wherever you may be.
