Phuket Elephant Sanctuary

100, Moo 2, Paklok, จ.ภูเก็ต 83110, Thailand

Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is the 1st ETHICAL retreat, a final home for retired working elephants, set on 30 acres of lush tropical jungle. Observe how elephants rehabilitate into forest life after decades of abuse, and experience how incredible the largest land mammal on earth is during a day at the sanctuary. In the Elephant sanctuary, you can experience elephants in the most natural way. In their natural environment, where they are free and simply wonderful! You can directly experience the daily life of the animals and you can approach them when feeding or bathing. Briefly: it’s a wonderful experience that you will remember for a long time.

The Big Buddha, Phuket

Mount Nagakerd, Karon, จ.ภูเก็ต 83100, Thailand

Phuket's Big Buddha is one of the island's most important and revered landmarks on the island. The huge image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 meters tall, it is easily seen from far away. The lofty site offers the best 360-degree views of the island, with sweeping vistas of Phuket Town, Kata, Karon beaches, Chalong Bay and more.) Easily reachable via a six kilometers road leading from Phuket's main artery route, it is a must-visit island destination.

Old Phuket Town

68 Thalang Rd., Old Phuket Town, จ.ภูเก็ต 83000, Thailand

Unlike many Thai provincial capitals, Phuket Town fairly shines with personality and nowhere more so than its Old Town. In this historically rich part of town you will find shrines, temples (Buddhist and Chinese), ornate and beautifully preserved 'shop houses', quaint cafés, tiny printing shops, impromptu private and public museums and even a mini exred light district. A must-do in Phuket is a walk in the old part of Phuket City, around Thalang, Dibuk and Krabi roads. The beautiful architecture along these roads will take you back to the charm of a century ago.

Phuket Walking Street

144 Thanon Talang, Tambon Talat Yai, จ.ภูเก็ต 83000, Thailand

Phuket Walking Street is a night market that takes over the beautiful Thalang Road in Phuket Old Town every Sunday evening. Also known as Lardyai (from the southern Thai dialect version of talaad yai, which means ‘big market’), Phuket Walking Street allows visitors to discover some typical southern Thai culinary specialties as well as local handicraft and gift stalls. This weekly event is definitely family-oriented with the presence of toy stalls as well as musical acts.

Fun Friday Market

49 4030, Tambon Choeng Thale, จ.ภูเก็ต 83110, Thailand

Located in Boat Avenue it is mostly popular for tourists who stay in or near Phuket Laguna Resorts Complex. Here visitors can find a wide range of food stalls selling a variety of both local and international food. BBQ, seafood, salad, bakery, dessert, and snacks are all ready for any visitors to come and try. Some outdoor tables and chairs are available and some are located close to the live music zone where there are shows from different artists each week. Souvenirs, handmade items, and handcraft stalls are ideal for those looking for some special items for their family and friends. This market takes place every Friday from 4 pm.

Siam Niramit

Chalermprakiat Ratchakan Thi 9 Road, Tambon Ko Kaeo, จ.ภูเก็ต 83000, Thailand

Siam Niramit Phuket is a tastefully done cultural extravaganza that adds variety and vitality to the island’s entertainment scene. Perfectly located just off the By-Pass Road in the outskirts of Phuket Town, it is set in prime lakeside land. The show features songs, dance routines and traditional martial arts.

Junkyard Theatre

49/6 Moo. 5, Chalermphrakiat, จ.ภูเก็ต 83000, Thailand

The Junkyard Theatre is a creative entertainment venue located in Phuket. Inspired by the island’s dramatic cultural landscape the theatre exists as a juxtaposition of east and west, an arena where cultures clash together in the most absurd ways possible. They’ve put together a show that features an eclectic collection of quirky musical numbers, decadently crafted sets, and dinner cabaret style acts.
